Not On Your Life Coaching
with Lauren Ross

Work is not supposed to be the main character.
You are.
Well-intentioned employers often ask us to bring our whole selves to work, and to treat our companies like family.
For some high-achievers, this can mean chronically placing work above life.
We tell ourselves if we juuuuust give a liiiitle bit more than the 120% we’re already giving, we’ll be seen, heard, appreciated, lauded, promoted and life will feel good!
Meanwhile, real life slips by.
The hard truth?
We are digging for meaning and worth in a work world that doesn’t care about giving it to us.
If life seems to be defined by quarterly KPIs and your boss’ mood more than your own passions and seasons, you’ve come to the right place.
I’m here to help you stop swirling and/or sleepwalking through the weeks and months and take the reigns of your life back.

Mentee Stories
-
Team Lead, NYC
“Lauren helped me figure out what my boss cares about so I could stop guessing. That helped me stop taking on extra work. From there, she helped me map out the things I wanted to do this year other than work, so I could stop focusing on my boss and focus on me instead.”
-
CSM, West Coast
“I was signing on to Slack and email within the first 30 seconds of waking up and plowing through the day without stopping. I was getting resentful of my customers and coworkers, and my friends and roommate. Lauren and I took a hard look at the parts of life I was neglecting, and why, and made a plan to set boundaries at work and adjust my life outside so that work wasn’t my only escape.”

Creative Director, Chicago
“I knew Lauren from a long time ago and asked her to help me get out of freelancing and back into a full time job. I had thought I would love freelancing, but the stress of not knowing where my next paycheck was coming from was too hard. I was scared to go back to full time work, but Lauren helped me set boundaries from the start and made sure I had balance enough to be happier in a full time role. I didn’t know it was possible.”
